Congress President Welcome
Dear colleagues, dear anatomists, and friends of anatomy,
I would like to invite you to Prague for a joint meeting of the 17th Annual Congress of the European Association of Clinical Anatomy (EACA) and the 14th Annual Congress of the International Symposium of Clinical and Applied Anatomy (ISCAA). It will be a unique meeting that will follow the long-standing tradition of both organizations that brings together morphology scientists from across the generation spectrum, across the range of professional focus and across the world. I cordially invite you to meet in Prague, one of the most beautiful and historic European cities.
Prague is a historic royal city with unique monuments, and it is the home of Charles University, the oldest university east and north of the Alps. Come to soak up the atmosphere and beauty of Prague, come to meet and talk face to face after a practically three-year hiatus due to COVID restrictions, come to personally meet with old friends and colleagues you have not seen in a long time, and personally meet colleagues you only know from online meetings in virtual space. I invite you to take advantage of this opportunity and join us in the beautiful, warm, safe, and friendly heart of Europe.
I am convinced that with the beautiful city of Prague as the backdrop, you will gain professional knowledge and establish new working collaborations. During the special social gatherings, you will have a chance to make new friendships and renew old ones.
Dear colleagues, friends, and anatomists at heart, I look forward to meeting you in person again in Prague from September 14 to September 17, 2023. Face to face again!
With cordial regards,
Prof. Vaclav Baca, Congress President
Congress Co-President Welcome
Dear colleagues and morphologists in body and soul,
For four days in September 2023, Prague will again become the centre of anatomy and other morphological sciences.
After 16 years (for the Congress of the European Association of Clinical Anatomy – EACA) and 13 years (for the International Symposium of Clinical and Applied Anatomy – ISCAA), and only for the third time together, these prestigious organizations are returning to Prague and will be meeting together to provide a venue for scientists and educators who have dedicated their professional lives to the structure of the human body to meet, learn, and share experiences.
Prague is the heart of the Czech Republic, which is considered geographically both the centre of Europe and the roof of Europe since it is the source of rivers flowing into three major European seas. Prague is at the center of a small country surrounded by a belt of low mountains, whose inhabitants speak one language but appreciate beer in the west and wine in the east.
Our meeting will give you an opportunity not only to see your friends and colleagues again after several years of restrictions. It is also a chance to share the latest findings in your scientific fields while experiencing the city that the mathematician Bernardo Bolzano called “the City of a Hundred Spires,” the writer Goethe called the “Mother of Cities,” and Pope Clement VI called the “Pearl of Cities.” You will surely enjoy the magical corners, dining on local specialties, and relaxing from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Prague Congress will be a great place for young, beginning morphologists to meet with respected doyens in the field, and it will be the perfect place for all anatomists of goodwill and good heart to meet and exchange ideas.
We cordially invite you to Prague, September 14–17, 2023.
